Proficiency Testing Scheme also known as Inter-laboratory Comparison, Round Robin, Cross Check Program, Inter-laboratory Study.
Definition:
Proficiency testing is a system to determine laboratory performance for particular fields of testing that is based on accepted prescribed methods. ¹
Schemes are designed and operated to asses the laboratory performance in specified areas of testing, measurement, calibration or inspection.²
